    • Saturday, 25th-HO Scale work session. Wilson’s Sand Canyon house. 10:00 am. This work session will consist of finishing installing the last 3 turnouts and laying track on the yard modules. Directions and address available by emailing tlrc_club@hotmail.com.
    • Saturday, 25th Santa Susana Railroad Historical Society Swap Meet. Santa Susana Park and Depot, 6503 Katherine Road, Simi Valley, CA 93063. 7:00am to 10:00amSwap Meet, 10:00 am to 4:00pm Open House. Parking Free. Admission $2 donation for adults, kids under 12 free. Dozens of vendors will be selling various scales of model railroading equipment, scenery, books, magazines and memorabilia.     • Sunday, 26th Southern Pacific Division of the Toy Train Operating Society March 2017 Meet. Brookhurst Community Center, 2271 W. Crescent Ave., Anaheim, CA. 10:00am-2:00pm. Admission $5. Parking Free. Members will be selling trains of all scales, toys, and railroad memorabilia. There will be an auction and raffle for some great train prizes, as well as Thomas the Tank Engine and building Brio layouts. More information available at ttos-sp.org.

    • Saturday and Sunday, 1st and 2nd Los Angeles Model Railroad Society Spring Open House- Los Angeles Model Railroad Society Club House,14005 S. Crenshaw Bld., Unit G, Hawthorne. 10:00am-4:00pm. Will feature running on the club’s layout. There is a standing invitation to run on their layout as well as bring some of your trains to run as well. More information at lamrs.org.
    • Saturday and Sunday, 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th-Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends-Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South A Street, Perris, CA 92570. Tickets are $21 for ages two and older. Tickets are pre-sale only and first come, first served. You can save on service charges by calling the museum directly (951) 943-3020 or you can buy online at http://oerm.org/thomas/. Event will included 25-minute ride with the famous engine and a 15-minute ride with his railway friend Percy. Enjoy a wide range of fun activities perfect for children. There will be games, a petting zoo, bounce houses, coloring, live children’s music, sing-alongs and storytelling.
    • Friday, Saturday, Sunday- 7th, 8th, 9th-TLRC Spring Train Show at the Aspen Builders Activity Center, Tehachapi. Setup will be from 5:00pm to 10:10pm on Friday. Show times 10:00am to 5:00pm Saturday, 10:00am to 4:00pm Sunday. There will be HO, N, G, Z, Lionel scale layouts on display, in addition to promotional items, vendors, bake sale, raffle, and consignment items for sale.     • Saturday, 15th-Bunny Train- Orange Empire Railway Museum. 2201 South A Street, Perris, CA 92570. 11:00am – 4:00pm. The Easter Bunny will hop through the train, greeting each child with a special treat and posing for a photo. Children can decorate Easter baskets and then follow a treasure map to find Easter eggs and other goodies. There will be a bounce house and Mister Twister the Balloon Artist will be on hand with is awesome balloon art. Your family can explore the museum and enjoy rides on vintage trolleys.     • Wednesday, 19th thru Sunday 23rd-Daylight Express 2017 PCR Convention. DoubleTree by Hilton, 3100 Camino Del Rio Court, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Will include 5 days of clinics, contests, layout tours, operating sessions, prototype tours, and more, Registration required in advance. For NMRA members, fees run from $115 to $65.     • Saturday, 29th-San Diego Society of N Scale Operating Session-San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Balboa Park, 1649 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The San Diego Society of N Scale will be holding a 1950’s Time Table & Train Order operating session. All equipment is provided. Event is $5 to help cover the cost of snacks and drinks.     • Saturday 29th– West Side Reunion presents the 30th Annual Logging & Mining Modeler’s Convention. Sonora Elks Lodge, 100 Elk Drive, Sonora, CA.     • Sunday, 30th-, Sierra Railroad Seminar. Meet time of 9:00 am at the Sonora Senior Center, 540 Greenley Rd, Sonora, CA. Event will include morning presentations on the history and modeling of the Sierra Railroad, free tables for related displays and for sale items, and an afternoon visit to Railtown 1897 for ride behind recently rebuilt locomotive #28.     • Friday, 5thPomar Junction Wine-Rail Excursion. Cost is $75 per person for the entire excursion. Leave the SLO Amtrak Station at 3:35 pm on Friday afternoon and travel on the Coast Starlight over the beautiful Cuesta Grade to Paso Robles. Then get transported to Pomar Junction Winery for their Train Wreck Friday party. Enjoy the entertainment and wine-tasting included in your fare, buy dinner or bring your own picnic, and then get transported back to the SLO Amtrak Station.     • Saturday, 13th San Luis Obispo Train Day. San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum, 1940 Santa Barbara Street, San Luis Obispo 93401. San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum will be celebrating the 123rd anniversary of the Museum building and the arrival of the Southern Pacific in San Luis Obispo.     • Saturday, 13th San Diego Division/PSR/NMRA Spring Meet- Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, 2040 N Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92083. 12:00noon-4:00pm. Scheduled events include clinics, a silent auction, Show & Tell, and a tour of the club’s large ‘N’ scale layout.
